LR are part of the 3R Initiative committee, a coalition committed to achieving zero plastic waste, alongside brands including Danone, Nestlé, Tetra Pak, BVRio, Conservation International, McKinsey.org, South Pole, SYSTEMIQ, Natural Capital Partners and Veolia.

The Plastic Stewardship is one of several sustainability initiatives that LR is involved with, evidenced by LR being one of the first companies to back the Responsible Plastic Management (RPM) program, a global assurance program to help measure and verify plastic management performance.
Included in the Plastic Stewardship initiative are Guidelines for Corporate Plastic Stewardship and a Plastic Waste Reduction Standard (Plastic Standard). The Guidelines for Corporate Plastic Stewardship, developed by the 3R Initiative, South Pole, Quantis and EA, provide best practices for companies to credibly and transparently quantify and report on their plastic footprints, leakage and commitments to reduce plastic waste.
