A new and improved Port State Control (PSC) checklist app has been released by Lloyd’s Register (LR) and the marine mutual liability insurer UK P&I Club to help the industry comply with regulatory requirements and reduce the risk of PSC detentions.
Invaluable new resource
Designed to remind ship personnel about the inspection, maintenance, operation and constant readiness of life-saving equipment, this new app incorporates six checklist apps in one invaluable, user-friendly resource.
With improved features and functionality, easy-to-follow instructions and optimised for mobile, the app features the following checklists:
• ILO Marine Labour Convention
• ISM & ISPS Codes
• Life Saving Appliances
• Marine Fire Safety
• Marine Pollution Prevention
• Port State Control
Updates for peace of mind
As well as featuring a list of common deficiencies to ensure compliance with regulations, the app’s checklists are regularly updated to reflect new or amended legislation as it comes into force.
Enhanced functionality
As part of the app’s enhanced, easier-to-navigate design, ships' crews and their managers can easily view necessary legislative and regulatory requirements, save multiple checklists, check off completed activities, add essential notes, use the device camera to take images, and print, store and send files in various formats.
