Biography
Reddy is a Naval architect having graduated in India in 1986 from ‘Cochin University of Science and Technology’ and obtained Masters and PhD from ‘Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur’ and ‘Universities of Strathclyde and Glasgow’ respectively. He has more than thirty years of experience in marine sector in the fields of the experimental and numerical hydrodynamics having initially worked in a shipyard for couple of years before moving to Defence R&D organisation in India as Scientist undertaking hydrodynamic experimental studies on ships and submerged bodies and thereafter to Lloyd’s Register in London in 2003.
Within Lloyd’s Register, he has been actively involved in several EU and Innovate UK projects, Co-operative Research Ships (CRS) working groups, JIPs including IACS/IMO studies on minimum powering requirements for safe manoeuvrability of ships in adverse sea conditions, and is currently heading the Strategic Research activities within Lloyd's Register's Marine & Offshore business.
