ShipRight procedures are a comprehensive system of procedures aimed at ensuring high standards of safety, quality and reliability at the design stage and during construction. These procedures also extend, via Linked Supporting Services, to ensure that these standards are met throughout the operational lifetime of the ship.
Risk Management Procedures
Risk Based Certification (RBC) provides a structured process for assessing and certifying ship designs that are novel, deviate from prescriptive requirements or need to meet goal-based regulations (e.g. IGF Code for low flashpoint fuels): and require a risk-based approach to demonstrate an equivalent level of safety. This process is consistent with the IMO MSC.1 Circular 1455 guidelines.
