In our previous reports, we showed that Zero Emission Vessels (ZEVs) need to be entering service by 2030 and looked at the competitive viability of ZEVs but we are increasingly asked what does this transition look like and how do we make it happen?
In this report, in collaboration with University Marine Advisory Services (UMAS), we present the findings of our transition pathways which identifies the conditions that will need to happen to achieve a transition towards a decarbonised shipping industry. We map potential transition pathways (milestones, enablers and barriers) that a wide range of shipping stakeholders can use to guide their own strategies.
