The course is aimed at superintendent engineers and other marine staff who are faced with understanding what welding methodologies can be applied and the impact their repair choice has on the longevity and robustness of repairs carried out.

- Evaluate the use of ‘joint technologies’ especially weld technologies used in the shipbuilding and repair process
- Recognise the most common testing and examination technologies used in the marine industry
