This document supersedes The Examination of Surveyable Machinery Items by Chief Engineers Version 1.02, 01 March 2015 and PMS Interactive User Manual Version 1.4, November 2016.
It describes the machinery survey arrangements in Lloyd’s Register’s Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Ships and ShipRight Procedures for Machinery Planned Maintenance and Condition Monitoring.
It also details how, subject to certain conditions, applicable machinery items may be credited for survey based on examinations by the ship’s Chief Engineer.
