Coming soon ....... In this report in our Fuel for thought series, we evaluate Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

We will explore the current state of LNG as a fuel for shipping , already becoming more widely available and offering emissions benefits compared to other fossil options. LNG could offer further benefits in conjunction with onboard carbon capture if the emerging production of renewable, potentially zero- or near-zero emissions variants are scaled up.

The report covers the safety considerations, drivers for adoption, production, supply chain, and technology readiness. We will also examine the potential implications of widespread adoption of LNG as a fuel and its role in achieving a sustainable future.

Other drivers for the adoption of LNG as a fuel are also included such as regulations, lifecycle assessment, ship operator demand and interest plus  techno-economic drivers including  LNG production.
