Audit During Recycling (ADR) is a specialised Lloyd’s Register service. This service is provided upon request from shipowners or ship managers to ensure the safe, compliant, and responsible recycling of their vessels. The audit process is aligned with various international regulations such as the Hong Kong International Convention for Safe and Environmentally sound Ship Recycling (HKSRC) and the EU Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR). It can also be tailored to the shipowner’s internal ship recycling policy or conducted in accordance with Lloyd’s Register’s ship recycling policy.

ADR supports your ESG and sustainability objectives, reinforcing your commitment to environmentally and socially responsible ship recycling, and demonstrating accountability to stakeholders.

Our ADR Process and how we can help

During these audits, Lloyd’s Register ensures that:

  • Recycling activities are in full compliance with the approved Ship Recycling Plan (SRP)
  • Hazardous materials are managed in accordance with the Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM)
  • All operations adhere to relevant
