Retiring the LRQA brand.

We have decided to retire the LRQA brand and trade under the LR brand.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year and to introduce myself as the new Managing Director of the Management Systems business division at Lloyd’s Register (LR).  

LR understands that the needs of our clients are changing, along with the world of assurance and that trust is a vital aspect of any partnership.  In a world of increasing complexity - overloaded with data and opinion - we know that our clients need more than just technology to succeed.  They need an experienced hand. A partner to listen, cut through the noise and focus on what really matters to them and their customers. Our technical experts are dedicated to assurance. That means a commitment to embracing new technology and a deep rooted desire to drive better performance.   

To underpin this commitment, we have decided to retire the LRQA brand and trade under the LR brand.  The single LR brand links together all members of the LR group under one single identity, providing you with a broad service portfolio with a range of solutions from a single provider.  

A phased brand migration.

You will initially notice a new look and feel to the way in which we present ourselves to you.  Over the course of 2018, we will be rebranding all of our content, ranging from our websites, social media channels, right through to your approval marks, certificates, contracts and invoices.  

Rest assured, your existing certificate(s), mark(s) and contracts will all continue to be valid and recognised for use going forward and you will be issued with your new-look certificate and marks at the point of your certificate renewal. This means that no action is required from your organisation and importantly, no disruption.

Assurance remains our core business and we will continue to listen to all our customers to understand your needs and further develop our portfolio to provide you with solutions to support your business. 

Your business helps LR to help others. 

The profits we generate fund the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a charity that supports engineering-related research, education and public engagement around everything we do. All of this helps us stand by the purpose that drives us every single day: working together for a safer world.
