23/2013 - Statutory Alert: Viña Del Mar Agreement also to carry out port state concentrated inspection campaign on SOLAS Chapter II-1

Applicability: Owners and operators of vessels operating in the Viña Del Mar region

Further to Classification News No.20/2013, the Latin American Agreement on Port State Control of Vessels (Viña del Mar Agreement) will also carry out a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) to verify compliance with SOLAS Chapter II-1.

As with the Paris, Tokyo, Indian Ocean and Black Sea CICs, this will last three months, starting on 1 September, 2013, and ending on 30 November, 2013.
