Safety-at-sea requirements for your offshore assets
LRMD is an ISO/IEC 17065 – accredited certification body providing life‑cycle certification of offshore assets in accordance with the requirements of the Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV). This will be carried out in compliance with the “WSV‑Rahmenvorgaben zur Kennzeichnung von Offshore‑Anlagen” as well as the relevant provisions of the “WSV-Richtlinie Offshore‑Anlagen”.
WSV certificates issued by LRMD can be submitted to the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) as proof that offshore installations comply with all applicable certification standards, technical regulations, and legal requirements.
Certification covers the following technical systems:
- Day marking (lettering and lighting)
- Night marking (marine lanterns with 5/10 nautical‑mile range)
- Automatic Identification System – Aid to Navigation (AIS‑AtoN)
- Aviation obstruction marking (aviation lights with Extended Specification or on‑demand night‑time lighting
