Inventory of Hazardous Materials compliance

Since 31 December 2020, the European Union Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR) requires any ship of 500GT or over, regardless of Flag, to have a valid and certified Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) on board when calling at an EU port or anchorage.

You will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Shipowners and management companies, technical and quality managers, superintendents, and others dealing with IHM and / or compliance issues. Surveyors, inspectors, and other company employees involved in related activities can also benefit. 

Course objectives

By the end of this course you will be able to: 

• Identify the different aspects of the new regulatory framework and the implementation of the related processes
• Understand the preparation, development and maintenance of the IHM
• Apply gained experience from Hazmat Expert Surveys and Class Verification Surveys
• Adopt the best ways and methods to properly implement the legislative requirements
• Be aware of the latest related guidelines on Port State Control inspections

• Experience shared from Hazmat Expert Surveys and Class Verification Surveys
