Andriaki Shipping has worked with Lloyd’s Register (LR) to prepare and publish its latest ESG reports, strengthening transparency and aligning with international sustainability reporting standards within the Greek shipping sector.

LR worked with Andriaki to develop its 2023 and 2024 ESG reports in line with recognised global frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards, building on earlier work to produce the company’s first ESG reports.

As part of the project, LR carried out benchmarking against industry best practice, stakeholder identification and consultation, materiality assessment and mapped priority issues against the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition to producing the reports, LR helped Andriaki strengthen its internal ESG capability, including improving data availability and consistency, clarifying governance structures and identifying areas where ESG policies, processes and disclosures can be further developed. The reports provide a baseline for measuring future progress as reporting requirements and market scrutiny continue to evolve.

Ambrish Bansal, Senior VP and Global lead Management Consulting at Lloyd’s Register, said: “Our work with Andriaki demonstrates how owners can take a practical and structured approach to ESG reporting that supports transparency today while preparing for future requirements.

“LR is committed to helping businesses move toward greater sustainability. Our experts provide extensive knowledge and experience, working collaboratively to build a strong and impactful ESG program tailored for each company.”

Panagiota Chrysanthi, CEO of Andriaki, said: “Working with Lloyd’s Register on our ESG reporting has been a very positive and valuable experience. The support and guidance throughout the process have helped us strengthen our approach to sustainability reporting and further improve the way we collect, assess and communicate our ESG performance.

“This collaboration has also been an important opportunity for us to review our internal processes, identify areas for further development. Sustainability remains an important pillar for Andriaki, and we are committed to operating responsibly, with transparency and continuous improvement across our activities.

“We appreciate Lloyd’s Register’s expertise and collaborative approach, and we look forward to continuing this journey together as we further develop our ESG strategy in the years ahead.”

The work with Andriaki builds on LR’s global ESG advisory activity, including recent engagements in Europe, North America, South East Asia, India  and the Middle East. Through its ESG advisory services, LR supports clients as a trusted adviser throughout their sustainability journeys, combining maritime expertise with sustainability, risk and governance insight.
