Shipbuilding Summary

COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) Co., Ltd is a key subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, which was established in December 2016. The Dalian yard was founded in 1997.

The shipyard specialises in ship repair, retrofitting, conversions, and newbuild services. It has an annual capacity to repair more than 200 vessels and to build up to 15 new ships per year, in addition to more than seven offshore products.

Repair facilities include a floating dock for ships of up to 300,000 DWT, alongside additional floating docks of 150,000 DWT and 80,000 DWT. Repair berths can accommodate vessels up to 300,000 DWT. For new construction, the yard operates an 80,000 DWT dry dock and slipways with capacities of 100,000 DWT and 50,000 DWT.

The facilities are particularly suited to servicing large bulk carriers, containerships and VLCCs. - Multi-Purpose Vessels 60,000-82,000 DWT MPV
- Wood-Pulp Carriers 62,000 DWT Wood-Pulp Vessels
- Offshore Supply Vessels PSV & other types of supply vessels
