As a large, state-owned enterprise directly under China COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, DACKS focuses on the professional construction of newbuild vessels. The yard is equipped to construct a wide range of ship types, including bulk carriers, VLCCs and VLOCs over 180,000 DWT, and large container ships of 16,000 TEU, 20,000 TEU and up to 24,000 TEU ULCS. It also builds pure car and truck carriers
(PCTCs) with capacities of up to 6,200 units, as well as other high-technology, high-value-added vessels.
- The yard is a highly professional new building yard, with the same management and production model as NACKS.
- KHI and NACKS develop the initial and detailed designs and share with DACKS. Construction Design, which is developed by DACKS. NACKS holds 30% of DACKS stock.
- NACKS will undertake drawing approval on behalf of DACKS. DACKS has also established a design team for the new concept ship design.
- NACKS is responsible for business decisions on behalf of DACKS in the newbuilding project.
- External purchases are grouped together under NACKS and DACKS.
