Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. was established on December 27, 2016, on the north bank of the Yangtze River at Xiangyu Road in Wujie Town, part of the Tongzhou District in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, about 130 km from Shanghai, offering convenient access to major transportation routes.

It sits on a 1,100m waterfront and a maximum water depth of 12m, with a production workshops spanning 90,000m². The shipyard is equipped with three slipways with capacities of 10,000 tons, 30,000 tons, and 50,000 tons, one dry dock with a 300,000-ton capacity. The shipyard focuses on building Ultramax bulk carriers,
container vessels, chemical tankers and product oil tankers.
