Shipbuilding Summary

Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry was established in 1990 as a fisheries business. In April 2006, it expanded to incorporate newbuild and repair to their shipyard activities as Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry. In 2019, the yard is merging into the state-owned JMRH group. The shipyard is in Penglai, Shandong Province, with 150 million DWT yearly production capability.

The shipyard’s core new building focus is the production of commercial ships, including bulk carriers, cement carriers, tankers, chemical tankers, and container ships. In addition to a large number of fishing vessels, the yard delivered two
5,500 DWT oil product and chemical tankers in 2009. Following this, it began delivering a series of vessels across multiple segments. These included bulk carriers of 75,200 DWT, 64,000 DWT, and 82,000 DWT.

The yard also produced MR product and chemical tankers of 50,000 DWT, 41,000 DWT, 31,000 DWT, 7,999 DWT, and 7,000 DWT. Its container vessel portfolio ranges from 1,400 TEU to 22,000 TEU, including 1,400 TEU, 1,800 TEU, 3,000 TEU, 11,500 TEU, and 22,000 TEU vessels.

Additional vessel types include 9,800 DWT shallow water bulk carriers, cement carriers, small passenger and ro-ro passenger vessels, and research vessels. Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry’s target market includes domestic and international owners.
