Shipbuilding Summary

Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding Inc., funded by Tsuneishi Holdings Corporation, with a total investment of USD 116,338,800, and registered capital amounting to USD 73,407,500. It has achieved management system certifications including ISO 50001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.

The company primarily focuses on the construction of various types of vessels under 100,000 tons, block fabrication, processing of all kinds of steel products, as
well as related design and sales activities. It occupies a land area of 1,182,752m² for construction purposes, with nearly 150,000m² of factory space and a coastline
stretching 1,848 metres.

The shipyard is equipped with two semi-submerged slipways and one dry dock, each with a capacity of around or below 100,000 DWT; two outfitting piers for vessels of similar capacity; an import/export pier capable of handling 3,000 tonnes; one floating crane with a 3,000-tonne capacity; and two gantry cranes, each with a 700-tonne capacity. The yard’s production capacity reaches up to 25 Vessels of various types below 100,000 DWT annually.

Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) is committed to building energy-efficient bulk carriers and container carriers and has the capability to build other vessel types. The company’s design team comprises more than 200 staff members and operates a reflux tank for vessel development. It maintains close communication and cooperation with other design groups in Japan and the Philippines via an exclusive international optical cable. 

Organisational milestones

  • March 2003 - First Accommodation Block delivered.
  • October 2007 - 1st Bulk Carrier delivered.
  • May 2013 - 1st Container carrier delivered.
